  • Page 5 – Add ‘6.6 Scheduled Class Racing Areas and Scheduled Number of Races.’ as title to succeeding table.
  • Page 5 – In the table under 6.6, move Non Spinnaker Perf & No Spinnaker Club A classes from Bay Race Group 1 to Bay Race Group 2.
  • Page 6 – Add 7.3 [DP] [NP] On Thursday (Bay Race), boats shall display the class flags specified in their relevant Racing Area Addendum for racing on Friday – Sunday.
  • Addendum – Bay Race.
    • a. In the starting sequence, move Non-Spinnaker Performance and Non-Spinnaker Club 1 from Group 1 to Group 2.
    • b. add “An orange tetrahedral inner distance mark (IDM) may be may be laid off each committee vessel (CV) and boats shall not pass between the IDM and CV when starting.“
  • Addendum North, West & Salthill Add new paragraph N5 Shortened Course, W4 Shortened Course, SH4 Shortened Course – If a Race Committee Vessel is positioned at a mark and displaying Flag F with sound signals, boats should proceed directly to the finish and cross the line from the direction of the last mark. If only certain classes in the fleet are being shortened in this way the appropriate class flag will be displayed in addition to ICF F (This is in addition to RRS 32.2).
  • Addendum Outer Bay – Preamble – change Start Mark to read ‘Start Mark: In the vicinity of Pier (V) or Omega (Y).’
  • Addendum Outer Bay – Change C1 The Start to read: 1.1 The starting line will be between a red and white staff or the main mast on the race committee starting vessel and Pier or Omega Mark or a staff on a rib displaying an orange flag.

    Volvo Dun Laoghaire Regatta has published the sailing instructions for the event, and the 32-page document provides written directions outlining how, over four days, almost 800 races will be conducted for 300 boats across 21 different classes. Addressing the complexities of multiple class needs across the seven available course areas on Dublin Bay, the 2025 edition of the 'SIs' also includes the inaugural Melges 15 European Championships.

    The Sailing Instructions are now available for the Volvo Dún Laoghaire Regatta 2025, and can be viewed online or downloaded from the official notice board on RacingRulesOfSailing.org.

    As part of our sustainability drive, the SI’s are not being printed for general distribution for the 2025 regatta and will not be in the skippers’ packs. Instead, they are produced electronically, and competitors are being advised to print only those sections of the 32-page pdf document required, or to use their mobile device to consult the SIs.
