DUN Laoghaire is gearing up for Ireland’s biggest sailing event that is returning to the seaside town later this month. Brendan Courtney will be sailing, top interior designer Suzie McAdam will be sailing, architect on the telly Dermot Bannon, Leinster and Irish Rugby star Rhys Ruddock will be sailing and hopefully I’ll be sailing too. Someone stop me before I turn into Rod Stewart! They’ll all be at Ireland’s biggest sailing event, the 2019 Volvo Dun Laoghaire Regatta, which runs July 11-14. Expect 2,500 sailors and 500 boats at the biennial event and lot of celebs in Dubarry deck shoes and your striped tops.
